The Need in the Bay Area

The Bay Area is facing a growing homelessness crisis. According to the latest point-in-time count, over 38,000 people experience homelessness across the nine-county region on any given night. In our local community, thousands of individuals and families struggle to find safe shelter, nutritious meals, and the support they need to rebuild their lives.

Meet Phillip

After a workplace injury left him chronically homeless and living in an RV, he found hope at WeHOPE at Berryessa, our RV Safe Parking program in San Jose, CA. In just four months, with dedicated case management and housing resources, Phillip secured his own apartment and got the healthcare he and his dog needed.

Today, he's thriving. "I would do anything for this place, look at what you all have done for me!"

12 Days of Illuminating Hope

Throughout November and December, we invite you to participate in our special "12 Days of Illuminating Hope" initiative. Choose from 12 meaningful ways to support WeHOPE and embrace our unhoused neighbors.

  • Donate laundry pods to help individuals maintain dignity and hygiene

  • Organize a laundry pod collection drive at your workplace or community

  • Volunteer in our kitchen to prepare nourishing meals

  • Serve a meal to our guests

  • Take time to get to know someone experiencing homelessness

  • Write an encouraging letter to a WeHOPE guest

  • Donate warm clothing or blankets

  • Share your skills by leading a workshop

  • Provide hygiene kits
