  • The Lead cook is responsible for preparing healthy meals that adhere to USDA guidelines for people utilizing the Berryessa site (up to 120 people). The lead cook will prepare meals, plate meals, and clean their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with kitchen staff, and make an attractive presentation for each meal.

  • The Outreach Case Manager is responsible for providing support and leadership to people experiencing homelessness in South San Mateo County. The primary responsibility of the Outreach Case Manager is to engage with unhoused individuals in the field, help individuals experiencing homelessness complete CES assessment, work with SMC HSA to get clients added to your caseload, do an evaluation to assess the client’s needs and match their needs with services that the County or a referral agency is able to provide. The Outreach Case Manager goes out in the field 5 days a week and meets with clients to collaboratively formulate a case plan with target dates. After formulating a case plan, the outreach case manager follows up with clients 2 to 3 days a week to assist with getting clients ‘documents ready, connecting them to needed services, and securing housing.

  • Berryessa RV Safe Parking site is dedicated to providing RV Safe Parking and supportive services to adults experiencing homelessness in the City of San Jose. Our goal is to problem-solve with our clients and help them become healthy, employed, and housed using innovative solutions. WeHOPE seeks a professional and dynamic Program Director to oversee under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer. The Program Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of this emergency non-congregate shelter for adults. The Program Director supervises staff, interns, and volunteers and ensures the delivery of high-quality services that help individuals experiencing homelessness to return to permanent housing.

  • The Residential Services Coordinator is responsible for providing supervision to the homeless/unhoused clients at Coast House. Their primary responsibilities are to assure the safety and well-being of our clients; enforce shelter rules and protocols; supervise clients during laundry, showers, computer station, intake area, and chores and assist with intake and data gathering; to maintain a clean and sanitized facility.

  • The Security Guard is responsible for protecting the clients, employees, volunteers, and property of Coast House Shelter. Responsibilities include monitoring the property (perimeter, parking lot, and other areas, evicting trespassers, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during your shift.

  • Oversees staff and operations during their assigned shifts to ensure smooth functioning and safety. Duties include monitoring client activities, enforcing shelter rules, responding to emergencies, and providing support to both clients and staff. Generate shift reports, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with shelter policies.

  • As a Shelter Monitor/RSC, duties include staying present in all assigned spaces, performing de-escalation, maintaining a safe and clean environment, performing light trash pick-up, serving food, effectively communicating with all guests and staff, maintain any appropriate data collection, performing wellness checks and performing and recording perimeter checks.

  • Manage a caseload of up to 25 clients; perform individual service need assessments; collaborate with guests to develop an Individual Service Plan that identifies treatment needs with the primary focus on housing; create an action plan to assist guests to accomplish their individual goal(s); provide case management linkage services and support for housing, income, primary care, substance use treatment, behavioral health, legal, employment, clothing, and any other resources; offer to meet with the guests weekly; document individual sessions; track and ensure guests attend scheduled appointments; navigate the agency case management system; adhere to agency, state, and funder regulations; and all other duties that are assigned by the program manager. Case managers are expected to have 1 year of experience performing a similar role.
