Let’s meet people right where they are.
The 2024 Heart and House Fund initiatives are Building Bright Futures, and Give Dignity. Both fundraising pushes are set to have a drastic impact in supporting WeHOPE’s outreach efforts to those experiencing homelessness in the Bay Area.
Building Bright Futures
Building Bright Futures contains two building and renovation goals.
Building Purchase: We are committed to providing long-term solutions, and a key focus is to own the front building that houses our DoW Operations, extended shelter, and case management team. Currently, we lease 25% of the 20,000 sq. ft. building. We would like to purchase the entire building. By owning this building, we can better serve our client community and maximize our revenue potential. The funding goal for this project is $4,500,000.00
Main Building Renovation: To enhance the capacity and functionality of our resource center, shelter, and administrative offices, we plan to renovate our main building. This renovation will allow us to meet the needs of our clients and create a more welcoming and efficient space. The funding goal for this project is $1,500,000.00.
Give Dignity
WeHOPE offers a mobile hygiene service that provides free showers and laundry services to the homeless. Our innovative mobile shower, restroom, and laundry facilities travel to where the homeless are, whether that be encampments, rotating shelters, or other locations. We provide access to these clean water services in addition to providing hygiene services, including case management that can help them transition back into stable housing.
Your contribution will greatly aid in the development of this outreach in addition to Momentum, our comprehensive training simulation and program. This initiative is designed to equip our staff with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively expand our Dignity on Wheels program.
Through our Heart & House Fund, WeHOPE invites you to invest in our vision for a brighter future that centers on extending dignity to those experiencing homelessness in the Bay Area. With your support, we can make a significant impact on and within our community.
About Heart & House: WeHOPE’s annual, ongoing fund that represents our commitment to supporting the unhoused community while living out our faith and showing love in action. The Heart and House campaign embodies our logo featuring a person nestled within a heart, within a house. The heart symbolizes compassion, love, and second chances, while the house represents the essential resources that the unhoused community requires, such as shelter, showers, laundry services, and clothing.
