If You’re Experiencing Homelessness: Get Immediate Help

If you’re experiencing homelessness in the Bay Area, you deserve support that is real, respectful, and available today.

Call 211 (free, 24/7).

Dial 211 from any phone to connect with local resources. This is one of the main ways to get connected to the Bay Area’s Coordinated Entry system. Our WeHOPE clients are referred to us from counties, so please call to get your name on a list.

When you call, ask about:

  • Shelter options and where to go today

  • Getting on the housing waitlist

  • A housing assessment

  • Safe parking or vehicle-dweller support (if that applies)

If you can only take one step today, call 211.

If you’re in danger or having a mental health crisis

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about self-harm or feel unsafe, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
