WeHOPE Announces Natalie Walker as New Director of Development
East Palo Alto, CA (Jan. 4, 2024) - WeHOPE is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Walker as the new Director of Development. In this role, Natalie will utilize her extensive experience and deep commitment to social change to drive WeHOPE's development efforts and create meaningful impact within the community.
Natalie brings over 20 years of corporate sales and marketing experience, including sales management, business development, and program management success.

In addition to her corporate background, Natalie has over 20 years of nonprofit volunteer leadership experience. She currently serves as the Board President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley Chapter (AFP SV). Additionally, she serves as the Board Fundraising Chair for the Ivy & Pearls Foundation, where she drives strategy, develops and manages relationships with external stakeholders and partners, and plays a major role in stewarding major individual donors, corporate, and foundation gifts.
Natalie is an advocate for educational equity and also volunteers as a mentor for Year Up and Oakland Promise.
Other Key Hires
In 2023, WeHOPE made additional key hires. Whitney Prather joined the organization as the Marketing Director, bringing extensive experience in marketing strategy and brand management. Karnisha Garner also joined as the staff accountant and brings expertise in financial management and reporting. These talented individuals will play integral roles in advancing WeHOPE's mission and driving positive change within the community.
