Donor Survey Results: Insights and Future Directions

We are excited to share the results of our recent donor survey. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are eager to share what we've learned and how we plan to use your insights to improve our efforts.

In March, WeHOPE collaborated with Donor Experience Partners, LLP (DXP) to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement in our donors' experience, particularly in the areas of Communication, Recognition, and Engagement. Together, we developed a special survey that was sent to donors and volunteers via email. DXP processed your responses, and this past May, met with us to deliver the results, all the while preserving your anonymity.

First, we want to thank everyone who took part in this important project. It was our hope that what we learned would provide a framework from which we could continue to build strong connections with our vital community of WeHOPE supporters. We learned a great deal and are beginning to incorporate those learnings into our day-to-day work.

Survey Highlights:

Overall Satisfaction: We are thrilled to report that 91% of survey recipients expressed high satisfaction with their resonance with our current direction along with some suggestions and ideas for us to consider. Your positive feedback encourages us to strive for even higher standards.

Communication: You want to continue to hear from us more frequently and with transparency about how donations are being used. To address this, our monthly e-newsletter, WeHOPE Together, will include information on how your donations are being used. Specifically, highlighting the personal success stories of those we help. We are committed to providing more detailed and frequent updates, showcasing the real-world impact of your generosity.

Engagement: We also received a strong message of your interest in engaging with us more, particularly with more diverse volunteer engagement opportunities, partnerships with other charities, fundraising activities and ongoing awareness campaigns to address our most critical needs. We are currently looking at short-term and long-term ways to enhance these opportunities.

Recognition: Several respondents expressed a desire for greater recognition and appreciation of their contributions. We hear you and are committed to making the donation process more seamless and efficient. To achieve this, we are exploring new technologies and methods. Additionally, to honor your generosity, we will publish a list of donors in our annual impact report, ensuring your contributions are acknowledged and celebrated.
