EAST PALO ALTO, Calif. - We Help Other People Excel (WeHOPE) is pleased to announce its annual fundraising event, Seeds of Hope - Cultivating the Seed, presented by Stanford Health Care. This inspiring gathering will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City. It will spotlight the organization's substantial growth and expanded impact over the past year.
The Seeds of Hope fundraising luncheon brings together community leaders, supporters and beneficiaries for a compelling program highlighting WeHOPE's collective impact in addressing homelessness through innovative solutions.
Fundraising Goal
With an ambitious fundraising target of $450,000, reflecting our expanded reach, WeHOPE aims to raise essential funds to continue its vital work in making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring in our community. This year's increased goal will support the organization's growing programs and services. Every contribution makes a direct impact.
This year, WeHOPE will honor three outstanding organizations for their commitment to supporting the mission of transforming unhoused lives:
Coastside Hope - Recipient of the Community Excellence Award for their collaborative partnership in addressing homelessness.
SOBRATO Philanthropies - Recipient of the Transformational Vision Award for their exceptional philanthropic support and community investment.
Current Silicon Valley Church - Recipient of the Faith in Action Legacy Award for their dedicated volunteer service and community engagement.
Meet Our Emcee
WeHOPE is delighted to welcome Dr. Kathy James as emcee for this year's event. As host of "The King's Table" podcast and founder of Esthernation Foundation Inc., Dr. James brings over 40 years of experience empowering women to walk in their purpose. Her passion for nurturing, equipping and empowering individuals aligns perfectly with WeHOPE's mission of transforming lives.
Ticket Information
